Soundless Tides- A Wanderer’s Reality

A storm lasted for many years in a valley. Finally, the sand finally absorbed the tears of the cloud’s sorrow.

But now the ocean suffers as the rhythm of its tides have died out.

Comforting sounds of tidal waves have become hushed, and have not returned to shore.

And the ocean lacks purpose for humanity.

It has become deserted without the presence of its usual company.

Standing on that beach, a wanderer began to personify the absence of joy that abided in the happiest place on Earth.

It was soundless. It lacked livelihood that contributed to the peace of many. An ocean that was once blue failed reveal the life that existed beneath its new layers of grey.

The wanderer began to equate their life’s current reality with the motion of the sea.

Maybe there was a real life comparison.

Emptiness, isolation, uncertainty.

A young spirit, that was once driven by the spontaneity of life, has lost vision of the true beauty of adventure.

It seemed unreal that there could even be a solution to break the silence of a mute sea.

If the ocean could lose its essence, what did that mean for a traveler’s heart?

If the ocean could lose its rhythm, it’s very possible that the very dreams inside this wanderer could not be revived.

Or could it be the wind could only revive the movement of the tides?

And restore hope within the soul of the wanderer?
